For the characters I would give it an extra 0.5 stars.Information: Very much more difficult than its "coin level" suggests. The characters are pretty awesome and it's a shame they kind of got dampened by the situation. However, given the weaker plot this time, I wouldn't pay what I did to read another book like this. I really did like them all and am a bit curious to see where they go. The battle could have lasted much longer, possibly even expanded into another book if that twist was dragged out.īecause it's so rare so see protagonists like this with a pairing like this, I would probably read another installation. I would have almost liked to have read this as more of a slice-of-life book for the characters than the plot that was used.
That issue drove the rest of the book but it goes back into the relationships of the main characters were tested, not so much the dangerous threat from the powerful vampire. The battle finished just as predictably as the practices minus one issue. An extra plot twist was added last second but it was resolved in a few pages. The build up to the main plot, confronting a powerful vampire and his rogue werewolves, was good up until the actual battle. Compared to the first book, this one had more times that showed the physical side of the couple's bond which is fine. By the middle of the book I was emotionally invested in all the parties. Luckily, this book incorporated both relationships in a way that grew on me a lot. I wanted to see more about Devin and Tia's relationship. I was a little hesitant reading this because of the excerpt in book 1 left me not caring so much for the main characters Win and Alix at first. Bound was the second book in The Hunter Series.
